ADAPTER

Each room has a Euro adapter on the desk. Additional adapters and chargers are available at our reception for a deposit of CHF 20.00. The voltage in Switzerland is 220 volt.

AIR CONDITIONER

There is no air-condition either in the rooms as in the hotel.

All rooms are equipped with fans for a pleasant indoor climate.

AIRPORT

Open daily from 5:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Our reception can assist you in organising transport to the airport. The transfer by taxi takes around 20 minutes depending on traffic and costs at about CHF 50.00.

As an alternative take Tram n° 2 to Bahnhof SBB and then the Airport-Bus n° 50 operates every day between the main railway station and the airport. The reception will help you about the timetable.

With your BaselCard received by check-in you can use the public transportation for free in Basel and until the Euroairport.

Our box spring bed Cristal:

The CRISTAL model serves as both a bed frame and a box spring. Its size matches the surface area of your bedding. This box spring is also characterized by its exceptional, luxury hotel quality comfort and exceptional durability.

Our Ambre mattress:

The technology of the suspension system Duoflex makes this mattress exceptionally soft and comfortable but also provides excellent support for the spinal column and lower back.

Pressure on your body is reduced as well for lightweight guests as for the more corpulent ones. This technological innovation as well as the seven comfort zones render this mattress to an absolute highlight. The 100% natural upholstery secure a perfect temperature adjustment and the reinforced edges keep the mattress from losing its shape.

BREAKFAST

We are proud to serve you a high quality breakfast buffet with local products. A list of our suppliers is hanging in the breakfast room.

The breakfast room is located on the ground floor in our winter garden.
The breakfast buffet costs CHF 25.00 per person, for children under 12 years CHF 15.00, under 6 years it is free of charge.

Included in our breakfast buffet are scrambled eggs and bacon, as well as 3 minutes eggs. All other egg or omelette dishes can be ordered separately with an extra charge.

Gluten-free bread rolls are always available, vegan breakfast is available on request.

We also offer a quick breakfast this includes a hot beverage, one fruit juice, your choice of bread, butter and jam at CHF 9.00.

For our busy guests, you can grab a breakfast to go for CHF 6.00 served with a hot drink and a croissant or chocolate roll.

If you prefer to enjoy your breakfast in the room, please dial 969 or order through our “guest app”.

CHECK OUT

Check out time is 12:00 am. If you require a late check out, please contact the reception (phone 969) to check availabilities and supplement. For your convenience, we suggest you to settle the hotel bill on your last night to save valuable time the next morning.

DO NOT DISTURB

If you do not want to be disturbed, please hang the sign outside your door. When leaving the room, please take it inside. Important ! The housekeeping will only then clean up your room.

DRY CLEANING AND LAUNDRY

Dry cleaning or laundry items must be brought to the reception desk before 08:30 am (laundry will not be taken automatically from your room by the housekeeping). It will be returned the same day around 5:00 pm.

Exception: there is no laundry service on Saturdays and Sundays.

E-MAIL / INTERNET

In the entire hotel you will have WIFI connection. The reception will give you an access code by check in.

Our reception is happy to give advice on sightseeing tours in and around Basel.

The tramline 2 takes you directly to the exibition and congress center, stop "Messeplatz".

FIRE EMERGENCY

Dial the SOS button on your telephone or intercom 969. You will immediately get further information. Please pay attention to the fire exit plan behind your door.

Preparation

1. Get familiar with the fire instructions of the hotel

2. Make sure you know the nearest exit and fire-extinguisher. Please check the emergency plan behind the door

3. Make sure you know how to open and close the windows

4. Always make sure you know where your room key is

Action

1. If you notice a fire, immediately contact the reception

2. If the fire is outside of your room, double check your door to know the intensity of the fire (heat). Never try to open the door if the door handle is hot!

3. If you have to leave your room, go immediately to the next exit. Try to avoid the smoke and stay in the lower areas of the hotel

4. Do not use the elevator

Our reception can help you with buying flowers. The excellent flowershop (Luluderia) is situated at Wettsteinplatz.

GYM

Our gym is located in the basement of House B. It is available for all our guests free of charge. Open from 5 am to 11 pm. Use at your own risk.

HAIRDRESSER

Within 5 minutes of walking distance, there are several hairdressers. The reception can help you to arrange an appointment.

HEATING

The normal temperature is 21° degrees.
You can handle individually the adjuster for the temperature.

ICE

Please ask at the reception desk for free ice cubes or crushed ice.

INTERNET

Throughout the Hotel (W-Lan):

• Update the networks and select "Public-Wettstein"
• It opens a window with a password prompt
• Log in with your Password (ask for it at reception) or check information on your roomphone.

The Business Center:

• Our business center is open 24h and you can use the internet for free.
• Please note that you cannot connect your personal computer in the business center

IRONING AND STITCH SERVICE

The clothes which need to be ironed or stitched can be brought to the reception desk. Our housekeeping will bring your clothing back to your room within 24 hours. The fee depends on the effort. Price varies according to effort ask at the reception.

IRONING BOARD

An ironing board and a smoothing iron is available in the room at the 1^st floor of house A, it is available 24 hours. To reach the room go up the stairs at the reception.

KIOSK

On our guest app you can find a small Kiosk, where you can buy different things. In front of the reception you can see all articles, ask our receptionist.

LOST AND FOUND

Please hand over lost items to the reception desk. If you have lost something, there is a lost and found office in the main railway-station (phone 0900 300 300). For further information, ask the reception for assistance. Please also contact the reception desk if you have left anything behind in the room.

LUGGAGE

If you wish to store the luggage by departure or arrival please inform the reception. Upon request, we can help with your luggage.

MINIBAR

The minibar in your room is free of charge. It contains still and sparkling water, coke, coke zero and beer.

MUSEUMS

In Basel, there are over 40 museums. Our reception desk can give you further information on these and other museums.

At the front desk, you will be helped to get photocopies at a charge of CHF 0.10

PETS/ANIMALS

Well-behaved dogs are warmly welcome at the Hotel Wettstein with an extra charge: of CHF 10.00 per day per animal without food.

PILLOWS

Each room is equipped with a 60/90 cm down pillow as well as a 60/60 cm Legera pillow for allergic people. 

Aside from those two standard pillows, we offer the following alternatives which you can order from our housekeeper (phone 408):

Spelt Pure 40/60 cm

This is a robust but flexible pillow with a natural spelt filling. The pillow is permeable to air, light and pourable and therefore adjusts perfectly well to your head and neck shape. The muscles of your neck will be relieved. The Spelt pillow is also ideal for sleepers who sweat heavily on their head.

Memory Special 40/60 cm

With this pillow, you will sleep calmly and relaxed and therefore you can start your day full of vitality. The secret of this pillow is a viscoelastic foam with memory effect. It supports your head and neck ideally and helps to a noticeable restful sleep. The memory foam adjusts automatically to your body contours with the help of your body heat. Relieved from any weight, the pillow reassumes its original shape.

For any defect in your room, please inform our reception dial tel. 969 or our housekeeper dial phone 408. They will instantly take care of any problems.

RESTAURANT

We are serving various dishes from Restaurant Resslirytti in our winter garden, on the terrace or to your room. You can find the menu online at wettstein.guestservices.ch or on the menus in our winter garden.                   

Resslirytti (50 metres)

An elegant Italian restaurant with traditional Italian dishes and excellent pizzas from the wood stove.

Brauerei (130 metres)

Restaurant with a new modern ambience serving regional and Mediterranean dishes with a great selection of wines from their own vinothek.

We will be glad to serve you also our drinks 24 hours to your room.

SAFETY BOX

Each room has a safety deposit box. Please note the maximum insurance cover is up to CHF 2’000.00. The hotel cannot be held liable for the loss of valuables in the room.

SANITARY PRODUCTS

If you forgot your toothpaste, toothbrush or shaver at home, the reception desk will be happy to provide you with it.

SHOE SHINE SERVICE

There is a shoeshine machine by the main entrance of the Hotel in House A.

SHOEHORN

All of our rooms are equipped with a shoehorn. Please do not remove it from the room. You can buy them at the reception for an extra charge of CHF 10.00.

SLIPPERS

On request, the reception desk will provide you with free smaller slippers.
